Abstract

I will present an analysis of new photometric and spectroscopic surveys of the Palomar 5 stellar stream, a most thin and fragile stellar structure that inhabits the inner halo of our Galaxy. I will discuss how the dynamics and morphology of this stream are revealing the large-scale distribution of the dark matter, and placing limits on its small-scale lumpiness.

See you later in the seminars’ room, floor -1, via Ranzani 1, on time at 14:00.
