Indico

In the recent years, it has been realized that in lepton-nucleus deep-inelastic-scattering reactions, the historically neglected spin and momentum transverse degrees of freedom provide unprecedented information at the scale of confinement. A new theoretical framework has been introduced to gather a multi-dimensional imaging of the hadron structure and approach the rich and elusive strong-force dynamics beneath it. In order to exploit new experimental information, a long-term program is being pursued worldwide, with JLab and a future EIC collider as the ultimate facilities. This work presents innovative solutions for particle identification that are being developed to access flavor separation, a crucial aspect of such novel investigation.
