Abstract: The first natural guide star (NGS) and laser guide star (LGS) adaptive optics (AO) systems on 8 to 10 m class telescopes were implemented on the Keck II telescope in 1999 and 2004, respectively.

Both Keck telescopes are now equipped with LGS AO systems and 558 refereed science papers have been published using data from these systems through 2014.

The speaker will provide a brief overview of the Keck telescopes and instrumentation, and then focus on the current and planned AO capabilities and the resultant science.
